coming up on my one year anniversary with nostr.

have really enjoyed the experience...

kudos to all the developers and promoters.

most of my social media time is spent here, enjoying the signal.

but I have found myself spending more time on this new social media protocol than I intended.

consuming content.

creating content.

and I was initially bit to increase my "follower" count.

but I realized ultimately... who cares?

the reality is, not my nostr followers.

IRL friends and family are the people that really care.

all I'm saying is don't become a slave to social media.

if you feel compelled to share every cool detail of your life with your online community, the walls are closing in on you.

be free.

read a book.

prepare a meal with family.

play a game with friends.

take the dogs for a walk.

let your mind wander, contemplate, create, and reflect.

ultimately, I want less screen time not more.

looking fwd to another year with nostr.
