You can "custody" the token, and it is safe unless the sender rugs you, but you don't own the sats until you redeem them into your own personal lightning channel.
Yup. My point is that global UTXO ownership is not feasible. If someone has told you lightning scales UTXO ownership they've lied to you. Cashu has trade offs, but IMO those tradeoffs are perfectly suited for micro-payments.
Agreed, lightning is a half-solution and cashu doesen't fix it. Neither does fedimint.
