I hope that all the Tesla owners don't remove their "I bought this before Elon went crazy" stickers. It's very helpful to know who on the road is a spineless, emotional twat.

But how do you know whether or not they actually believe the sticker or just installed it to deter psychos from starting their car on fire?
It could be like the little old lady that leaves size 12 steel toed boots on her front porch to deter burglars.
I have noticed as I grow old that many of us prefer to concentrate on what we say... and how we say it... and the words we choose... and who we align with.
And we ignore that it is actually what we DO and who we ARE that is important.
It is as if we have all grown up in a culture that values the advertisement more than the product.
I can't stand hanging out with progressives anymore for this reason. From an outsider's perspective, they play this game where they all rush to discover what the in-group consensus is and to conspicuously advertise that they have installed the new ideological firmware into their world view. Those who miss the cues or just can't accept the new firmware are now outside the group: "We see your silence" all the in-groupers bleat while they point at the new paraiah.
They think just by saying things, that is just as good as doing things.
