Lol, I guess #marchofftwitter didn't go so well, did it? 🤣 Is the nostr hype cycle over?

Everyone reading Balaji's tweets
Lol haven't been following it but I've seen him making the founds on the podcast circle jerk, also ignored that
If you're going to watch/listen to one, I recommend this one (I liked the metaphor of killing someone and then wearing their skin, to describe the US gov): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9ULrFN_
I clicked the link says video not available anymore? Hmmmm
“Bitcoin is dead” template used for nostr. Nice.
Yes except people campaigned to leave nostr for this specific month, setting the time frame to judge the failure, and also everyone is still tweeting lol
This is like the new year's resolutions. Most of the people buy their pass to the gym, then show up on the first week.
But this is social conditioning.
We are thought in this society to value instant gratification. And the gym is certainly not that.
Adoption comes in waves, Nostr hasn't seen its first bull market either, people will come and go and it some will stick around, its up to clients and developers to build experiences that increase the stickyness
I'm just trolling because I knew that #marchoffnostr was going to be a total fail, and I love rubbing peoples faces in setting a high time preference date to something
Like this guy that said bitcoin to 1 million in 90 days, he gets the publicity now and then the trolling later, and I guess if you after attention you win both ways, but if you were serious you look like a moron

I first joined nostr in December and didn’t really get it. I posted 4 notes from December to March 1st until it really clicked for me and I became a daily user posting multiple notes everyday day. It will take time for people to understand nostr but based on the chart you shared hundreds of thousands of people have taken the first step and will be back. Eerily similar to my first bitcoin encounter!
Yeah it's all about the different cohorts coming in the early adopters stick around because they recongise a trend, the rest are looking for social approval before they stick around and others are looking for an incentive that is stronger than that of say Twitter
For me, I get no play on Twitter, I get a lot more reach on nostr so its where I focus, I still post on Twitter, but not with the idea anyone will see it
