I don't think there's ever going to be perfect communication, social media, etc on an imperfectly designed internet.

Most of this shit is cobbled together and it's a miracle that any of it works. Start trying to make it perfectly secure, decentralized, etc and you quickly realize how broken the web and internet are.

We're really just making the best of an awful situation until we update the underlying infrastructure/protocols, and I don't see that happening any time soon.

Maybe I'm wrong, but this is the conclusion I've come to after years of studying this stuff. There's always an imperfection or tradeoff hiding somewhere.

#Bitcoin is the best attempt made so far in my opinion and even it has issues.

All of this IS getting better with time. My point here is that we have to be patient, maximize the tools we have, and support developers who are trying to make a difference (like the #Amethyst developers, for example).

DNS, e-mail and TCP/IP itself are already mud, mud we keep building on.

The AS routing nrs also are totally old.And an attack vector.

Honestly, I'd like to start the fuck over with all of it. Lol It's hard though with all the legacy systems that are currently 'working'

I don't have a solution. All I can do is complain and contribute my small subset of strengths and knowledge. It'll take years and many people to improve.
