The father of the Big Bang Theory was a Catholic priest.

The Belgian astrophysicist Monsignor Georges Lemaître, who was also a Catholic priest, used Einstein’s general relativity equations to develop a model of the expanding universe. Monsignor Lemaître in the late 1920s theorized that if you have an expanding universe and you were to go back in time, you would get an ever shrinking universe. If you go back far enough in time that universe would get to an infinitesimally small point, a quantum. Father Lemaître called that point the “primeval atom” and from that atom, all matter, space, energy and time expanded creating the universe as we know it today. In 1931, Monsignor Lemaître published his theory involving the primeval atom model of the universe. His theory later developed into the Big Bang Theory.

Kids always trying to rebel 😄

They always do..... Cheers!

There is now very strong evidence that disproves the big bang theory.

I forget the details but recently the newest space telescope shows that the universe isn't expanding.

There's a bunch of stuff on YouTube about it.

In days 1-6, God stretched out the heavens. The stretching of space caused the red shift that scientists see and think means the universe is expanding. Interestingly, though, there is zero red shift inside of approximately 6,000 light years, which just happens to be the age suggested by the Bible.

Interesting take, something to ponder

I have a video if I can find it the has and interesting take on the age of the universe. I'll post it if I can. Cheers!

I t is a very evolving area of study. However, the beginning of the universe makes some very uncomfortable. Thank you for the reply, Cheers!
