Do I need Alby for Nostr Waller Connect? I want to use my umbrel wallet not 3rd party like alby

problem is you need a reusable address. And Umbrel is not able to generate that out of the box. You'd need to setup a Ln url server and that's... as people say in colombia: "No es como soplar y hacer botellas"
What do you mean?
Nostr Wallet Connect is just RPC over the Nostr protocol. All it would technically need is:
- Umbrel configures a local LN node,
- enables an NWC-compatible plugin,
- returns a `nostr+walletconnect://$pubkey?relay=$elay&secret=$secret` URI (the pubkey doesnt and possibly shouldnt match the main profile's npub),
- optionally generates a QR code she can scan with #Amethyst
I thought Umbrel had that? Im curious now, gonna google that. ^^
Its great for zapping but for receiving zaps with you need an lnurl server.

So Umbrel uses LND and shows a QR code. Neat!
Alby offers NWC.
Umbrel should have NWC you can enable - unfortunately, I don't know where. But I do know that if you see something starting with "nostr+walletconnect://", you are on a good path. :)
Umbrell has NWC app, install that and you are good to go 🐶🐾🫡🫂
