You’ve got the main answer already (he built by far the highest performance nostr relay that exists at the moment) from others but I also want to add that Doug is humble, friendly, and incredibly generous with his time.

He’s helped us a lot and always refused any payment. He also speaks about his work at tech conferences from time to time and puts nostr in front of new crowds.

He doesn’t post much so he doesn’t get as much credit as others but he is an undisputed future inductee of the nostr HOF.
