I don't trust people who say they love Bitcoin. (particularly that CK)
I don't trust Bitcoin.
I don't love Bitcoin.
I don't believe in Bitcoin.
A computer protocol is just that—a protocol, not a belief system.
I use Bitcoin as money because it has stood the test of time as the hardest money humanity has ever seen in the history of finance.
I run a Bitcoin node and practice self-custody not because I love Bitcoin, but because I don't trust the other nodes I'm connected to. I assume they might be lying. I don't trust developers who might implement new rules I disagree with, without my consent. My node, my choice.
The node I run continuously verifies protocol consensus rules for me. If I can't run my own node or verify blocks and transactions according to the rules I choose, that will be the end of Bitcoin for me.
I don't trust Bitcoin—only as far as I can verify.
