Can someone more techie than me prognosticate (guess? Lol) what would happen if Github disappeared tomorrow?
Is this why #[0] is pushing for decentralized GitHubbstyle repository?
it would severely disrupt open source dev

This is my assumption too
it would likely not last long as there is many github alternatives, there would be some effects that continue because of fragmentation, which is why we need nostr because nostr allows client variation while keeping everyone connected
