My coworker in the fiat mine was telling me about his portfolio of emerging market bonds.

He owns sovereign bonds of Brazil, South Africa, India, etc.

He said he has spent thousands (!!) of hours building his bond portfolio.

If only he was willing to spend a few hours studying #bitcoin . 🤯

Bad luck for him 🤣

Yeah🤣

People like that eventually will point their quest for truth •cough• greed •cough• at bitcoin and find the aligned incentives a welcome change.

Does he intend to keep spending an hour each week on each position, and how does he keep his job and balance personal life like that? The average person can’t keep up with that, nor would they want to.

He's a "finance" geek and he pretty much owns only bonds.

His bond portfolio is actually insane. He put so much work into it. What a shame.

Same here and I found Bitcoin fascinating for many wrong reasons at first.

If he follows sovereign debt he must also follow central banks and foreign exchanges.

He should know they are all melting ice cubes and that there are higher credit default swap insurance costs and that if he’s long those bonds there’s a risk of default.

Greg Foss has some work on that topic, I believe.

Yeah he does follow them closely! I'll try to show him an interview by Greg 🫡

That unwillingness to go past a few hours on #Bitcoin is why we can still be early #grateful
