Never really liked the concept once they came up on Nostr… 🤷♂️
still thinking maybe there’s a use case out there with let’s say streaming, as it offers a gamification and achievement angle.
Make them have value?
How would you do that?
I had a fitness badge I could have collected, but required me to enter some data.
So more from a privacy angle that I got distracted.
Maybe they can be used as custom emojis ?

I like that they don't have value. It's nonsense flair you can choose to display or not display. It's like getting a happy meal toy. Fun and interesting for a few minutes. Not trying to be more than it is.

I think they're just badges anything else would be ordinals or nfts? Personally I enjoy the absence of both on nostr.
I feel like virtue signaling is fiat :)
