As the other commenter pointed out, if I understand correctly, isolating fructose may not be entire story, the source matters. In the case of HFCS though, the source is corn. The just of the documentary “King Corn” is that much of what we are now biologically/physiologically can be traced to corn because it is a major component in animal feed AND our feed. 🥴

I doubt that any other fructose sources are subjected to the hell that corn is. HFCS is bad mojo, period. Our bodies are amazingly fault tolerant of variety, anything dominant better be healthy, I question corn.
Safe to assume we are viewed as cattle and fed accordingly—determined by producers, not nutritionists.
