They few threatened because young men have the drive, capacity, courage and sexual virility that those old farts wish they still had. It’s plain ugly jealousy. A while ago these old guys would mentor the young ones but now it’s easier to sit on the couch and whine.

Older men feel threatened both physically and by the sharper minds of younger men. Their only remaining tools are cunning and manipulation... and, of course, they have no problem sending young men to fight and die in their wars.
