Well.. IMO it depends.

From the point of international Law, theoretically, I think it has.

From a realist (power ratio) perspective on international relations, it can't.

At least, not in an open, kinetic, way.

On a personal note I have no sympathy for the Qatari government and its sneaky foreign policy, even if they were the victims of nazi-zionist this time.

International law hardly exists in these days. It's just brought up if it serves a certain narrative and if it doesn't it can easily be overlooked and ignored.

No, I also have zero sympathy for these "kingdoms". Qatar financed the destruction of Syria and the Saudis let themselves use and finance the brutal assault on Yemen, which went on for years.

Interesting is, that all these countries there (except Iran and Yemen) operate under the US umbrella. Divide and conquer (or rule?) near perfection from an US point of view.

We will see for how much longer can they keep this charade up. At the end it's all about "take the oil, we want to keep the oil, we have secured the oil."

I agree completely with every word you wrote.

In the mid to long run, they'll slowly but surely pivot to China. Pretty sure about it.

They have no morality or principle except the ones which rule in the bazar. Follow the money.

Yes. Altough I think that some in the US Department of War start to realize that China will become stronger and therefore harder to challenge. Not to forget, they control large amounts of the rare earths, essential for US weapons production.

But hey, there is Venezuela just around the corner with a "brutal dictator" at the helm and they need some democracy. And who knows, maybe there is a drop of oil and a few grams of gold to find there...

Probably at the end of all these historical shifts, we will end up in a "1984" scenario with three superstates, not exactly within the borders George Orwell imagined, but similar. As they say here where I live: Same same but different. 🙂

In that case I'd root for a quick global thermonuclear total war (or AI takeover). I definitely prefer to die than to live in that world.

I'm 100% sure that ASI won't be cruel as humans are. If she decides to end our human tragedy, she will give us a massive but quick and painless death to take over the planet.
