We’re getting fucked every which way and have been for years. Even as an incorporated business, making “good”
money, it’s still very hard to get ahead.
CPP I can’t stand paying, we pay $151 per month and it drives me nuts, and that’s on paying ourselves the minimum so we don’t pay any personal taxes which is just under $900 month each. But still have to pay into CPP.
We’re going to start taking dividends instead just we don’t have to pay CPP.
When you take dividends, you no longer have to pay CPP. I’d much rather exchange my $151 Fiat for some bitcoin every month.
I don’t want hand outs from the government later on in life when the money I could’ve used to invest now, is absolutely worthless in 15-20yrs.
There’s a fee for everything, and I can’t stand it.
Being a contractor, I feel is the only way to help you somewhat get ahead or stay level with inflation and all the other taxes, fees etc. Even then, it’s extremely difficult.
A wise man once told me years ago, in order to run a successful business, take in at least 15-20% in cash.
Yep. I school any young men I mentor to try to get kitted up as early as possible to do cash work on the side and invest in hard assets. It’s the only way off the hamster wheel. That and the power of compounding.
