I have a feeling Chris Lunsford would do really well if he just set up his own page and set a price on his album and allow people to buy multiple copies.

The amount of support he’d receive would be greater than any music deal.

Or am I off in this assessment?

He’d need less than a million copies sold to be better than the 8 million deal he was offered and I have a feeling he’d smash those numbers because many would pay more.

THIS

I agree!

I worked in the music industry. You are absolutely correct. Also he would own his own rights in perpetuity so there is no comparison in the long run.

The $8 million contract becomes a sliver of that after you pay the 20% management, 10% booking agent fees off the top, and then carry all the overhead expenses. Most famous artists are broke, which is why you see them doing "the last tour" year after year.

The last tour. 😂 😭
