I visited it once - best part of Germany that I explored. Amazing landscapes and nature, great people - and the food was very good! Also the home of Hesse and Juenger iirc, two great men in very different ways.

The entire area also reeks of old history to explore.

I explored a lot of castle ruins when I was there, often conveniently at the top of fells with hiking trails to them.
