The "Nostr welcome committee" is an important and valuable part of our community. When people try out new social media apps, they often feel like they're posting into the void. They aren't following anyone. No one's following them. It's easy to get discouraged early on.

Not everyone continues on and puts in the work to find their friends, to find new people to follow, and makes the most out of this new experience. Those of us that seek out new people, help them setup their profile, their Lightning address, their Nostr address, teach them all the ins and the outs of Nostr, are what makes Nostr different.

This also shows how much we've grown over the past several months. I'm not talking about growth statistics. We've seen those. I'm talking about the community that we've built. My original nostr note received zero love. No reactions. No comments. No hugs. No shakas. Zaps weren't even a thing yet.

This wouldn't happen today. Keep up the great work. Keep building, educating, and helping.

Community is key.

Right on! This still is very much underground but it will reach everyone eventually. It’s cool how everyone here is friendly and excited to show people how to navigate.
