As a candian, i reject government and buy bitcoin, but i still vote under duress as a slave might choose between slavemasters. I vote for whatever advances or unhinders bitcoin adoption. Not voting has no effect, but voting might have some.
Not voting has the effect of letting others know that you believe the system is a charade and not worth saving.

Fair point. Which people do you propose would make this observation? People who see the poll tallies or family and friends?
All of them. Personally, it's not worth for me spending so much energy worrying about politics for such little return.
