Phase 1 of the cure for CJD has been the last 20 years of my life.

Not to mention how many labored for YEARS before I arrived, very much against my will. I didn’t ask for any of this. But I suited up and did my part.

And now, for me and my family, we enter phase 2. The most exciting moments in science 🧬 and medicine. In real time. It’s happening now.

Buckle up. This will not be another 20 years. 10 max.

Clinical trials. Cures. (PLURAL). Answers.

Not just for prion diseases (CJD, BSE, FFI, GSS). In the end, this will help POSSIBLY / PROBABLY (maybe? Too soon to hope? Am I holding my breath?) Alzheimer’s and ALS.

Genetic mutations are first. I was told years ago we would be first. I just refused to get my hopes up.
