You probably already know this, but tools like chatGPT are a super power for the curious. I had a student that was trying to learn about foreign currency exchange and another learning about stock market technical analysis. They both said similar things - the problem they ran into was that the resources they found assumed they knew a lot of the basics.

It was like they could start digging because no one would explain how to use the shovel.

But chatGPT could help them sort that stuff out; summarize articles, explain technical words, check their understanding, etc.

a lot of times read the conversations that people have here with AI and some know exactly how to use it they know how to use the Words in certain ways and some just wanna make AI feel emotions.. 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

I appreciate that you are an educator that allows your students to use this tech. I’m hoping that current educators don’t fall victim to fear.

Me too, but I wouldn’t count on it. I suspect many view it as a cheating machine. Which it will certainly be used for. But there’s a great upside to it and I hope they see that as well. As a friend said recently, “we’re dumber when we’re in a state of fear.”
