if your goal is to express something as effectively as possible no.

from experience i re-write half of the entries on my site multiple times and delete the other half. if something is still there on my site 2 years after i wrote it without any changes to it that means nobody was reading it and i forgot all about it. but if it is something that people are reading i will continue improving it and if i no longer believe what was written i will delete it.
