I know that 99% of population in Japan cannot afford it, and even smaller fraction can self custody it. It may differ based on where you are, but I can only give a local impression 🐶🐾😭

80% can’t afford to save anything, the rest may or may not choose bitcoin, but they will likely not trust it given all the incidents that are in the news, e.g., stolen keys, rugged exchanges, shitty cold storage companies that give no fucks about their customers, etc. 🐶🐾😭

True, i was in a bank recently and could hear people in queue moaning about current situation yet still just looking to bank for options…. This is what got me into Bitcoin in the first place, so really hope we find a way to create a workable, affordable circular economy with sats otherwise it’s just a savings account . We are very early to this bigger picture though, hope devs are incentivised to find the big solutions
