I’ve always suspected Apple would continue to make the PWA experience even more terrible to discourage its use over the apple store. Looks like this is increasingly the case.

PWAs are not a long term solution, not to mention they are performance and database-gimped which is pretty important for nostr clients.

Yet one more reason. This is why we don't encourage walled garden brands.

Stop buying their stuff. They'll get the message. #grapheneOS is better anyway

Unfortunately most people don’t care because it doesn’t effect them, it only effects devs. We have to petition to users and hope that they care enough to petition apple. It’s a difficult sell.

The problem you have is #apple users see the app store as a safe place and anything outside of it as bad. You need to convince them outside is also safe, (said as an ex #iphone user)

It would if their were no apps around. I will never write or test for iPhones. Don't care.

I’m with you will. If we don’t push from inside then they will never change. No amount of Android usership will change apple. They wanna hear it from their “base”.

Apple is forking away from freedom money.

No need to petition anyone.

Users sooner or later will learn they have a choice to make.

I hate with the websocket deflate compression being utterly broken in Safari / CFNetwork that i need to slam a code that explicitly disable compression ONLY EXCLUSIVELY for Apple users in order for my crap to work.

And then this.

Wow. I don't think it's worth to fix apple problems for apple users. But thinking that majority of them is just innocents really annoys me to the fourth degree of hatred on these products.

Seriously, Fuck Apple.

Use Android?

*apple is not a long term solution

I hate people that have iPhones and tell them that into their face.

Bunch of drones

Are you guys seriously going to waste time today listing out the reasons that apple provably has always sucked

Notedeck & android decision looking better by the day
