Society is losing its way because we’ve lost depth.
We’ve lost depth because we are obsessed with the superficial.
We are obsessed with the superficial because current culture values narcissism over self sacrifice and hard work.
Until self sacrifice and hard work are valued over narcissism society will remain lost, confused, controlling and self obsessed.
Don't be nervous. Society has never had a fixed direction, yet it has countless directions. Wherever you go is the direction; it's entirely up to you. And how you choose to go is also up to you.

Mostly agree but I disagree with the 'self sacrifice' notion. Why do you need to self sacrifice and for what?
I think one can work hard on fair terms. Mutual interest should be fair. No need to self sacrifice.
And of course to get one should give.
