A lot of people don't realize that George Washington had one of the biggest distilleries in America he also didn't like competition LOL , but he also made Applejack which was one of the first hard alcohols consumed in America as well it is so easy to make and not very expensive back in the day lots of people grew fruit and could make different types of liqueurs and ciders out of it, it also has a lot of potential as during the holidays it can be warmed up a little bit with some cinnamon and Nutmeg which you can also add during the freezer distillation process to enhance flavors . You can also incorporate other things into it like pairs or berries . You should really look into it and give it a try you may find that you like making that , I also make something similar with apricots once you get the alcohol concentration up you can take some dehydrated apricots and put them in a jar and cover it with your liqueur and seal them up real good and store them in a dark place the apricots will soak up the alcohol and to someone who doesn't drink very often four or five of them will give them a buzz LOL but they do taste very good and they make a really good inexpensive holiday gift
