I agree. The body craves what it needs. Sure we can go to excess but the body speaks

Haha I'll bite. Yes, it most definitely needs it, especially the brain, but thank god for gluconeogenesis. My youngest child doesn't crave sugar, since he has been brought up carnivore since he started eating solid foods, his most sugary treats are tomato's. It's easy to crave addictive substances, so cravings aren't exactly a solid argument for needing something.

Kids crave air, play, and even sleep.

Give a kid an iPad e every day for a month and they’ll crave playing on an iPad. Kids who’ve never seen an iPad will not.
