Alright, so if there are so many experiments that supposedly demonstrate motion, then why was the theory of relativity proposed?
It followed on from Michelson-Morley, which used highly accurate interferometry in an attempt to prove the alleged motion, and it returned a null result. Then relativity was proposed, coupled with the Lorentz contraction, in order to explain the lack of a positive result from MM.
If this was such an easily demonstrable thing, there would not need to be 100s of different experiments. We would only need one, don’t you agree?
In which case, if there is supposedly movement from Foucault pendulum, then why did much higher accuracy experiments not return the same result? They should have been conclusive, and indeed they were.
I will dig up a video of why it doesn’t work if you want, but it doesn’t really matter because if it was successful, then relativity would not need to exist. Do you understand where I’m coming from here?
I mean, I shared a video above of Brian Cox explaining that you CANT use pendulums to demonstrate the motion of the Earth. Do you disagree with his assertion? He is confirming exactly what I am explaining here.
