Is it possible to install Amethyst from fdroid?
It was, but they removed it because they didn't like we had terms of service (basically you can't upload criminal content).
So basicly there's no other way to keep #Amethyst updated than through Google Play or manually via github?
Not that I know of. I am happy to accept a PR that adds another way to do this.

We need viable methods for onboarding people to nostr, that are actually sensorship resistant. Right now most users would not know how to update #Amethyst or #Damus if Google and Apple decided to sensor.
I usually dowload it via Aurora Store
