Maybe I'll add purplepage.es and see if it's better.

I don't think purplepag.es is for writing to is it? I don't use any of these relays either though. I'll mess around on my end too

Yeah, took it back off. I think it's read-only and my profile changes were already showing up on it, when I queried the relay on https://nostrdebug.com/

I added noswhere and nos social and no change in njump.

It must have some ancient cache.
