Cashu is tied to the embedded LND node, yes.

If you have a remote node that’s online all the time, you don’t really need it.

why not ? I use minibits for cashu .. atm is the best client ..

Seed isn’t exposed for remote nodes. Have to create a new wallet anyway

It doesn't need .. cashu wallet seeds are a different thing than LN nodes .. LN are used only to to up them and for melting back to LN from cashu token .. then cashu wallent can be used as you prefere ..

Right, then you can create an embedded LND node and just use the Cashu portion
