Of course there is no harm having this option , it can be useful for filtering out posts that look like scams, spam, or just content someone isnt interested in , and helps people personlize their feed and manage what they see.
what i meant in my post is more about the default settings, that should be visible by default because they often add important contents, extra informations, or interesting discussions that make a post more worth stopping for. A title alone doesnt always show the real value of a post, but active comments can.
So Im not against the feature — I just think the platform feels more alive and engaging when conversations are visible unless a user chooses to hide them.
