It still was at this point a racist, invasive country towards Black and Indigenous people (Displacement, Wounded Knee 1890). Jim Crow Era. Segregation. Labor exploitation, poor working conditions, child labor. Imperialistic annexation of Hawaii. Political scandals like the Credit Mobiliar one or the Whiskey Ring. Women were not allowed to vote.

You want to make the United States like this again?

If I have to indulge your illogical equivalences, then yes, because the US hasn't done much more net positive for humanity domestically or abroad since before WW1.

The best parts of the Industrial Revolution far outshine the worst in the history of the human race. Exploitation? Even low paid workers were paid in real gold-backed money back then; today, most folks work for _monopoly credit points_. We are much closer to "slavery" today than in those decades before WW1.

Second paragraph is your opinion and that is okay. You’re talking about economic greatness and I am talking about moral/human greatness. What I want to say is that I understand your point of view regarding the economic growth of the US in that period.
