I am in Colorado. I don't know what KYC is. Are getting at essentially using Crypto ATM's instead of exchanges?
Discussion
ATMs are one of the easiest choices, BUT the fees can go up to 20%. I used some that charged less than 5% but majority of these machines take huge cut. Don't give up. Research them, check reviews, check not just fees but requirements too. Some might ask for a phone number, be prepared, don't just walk in.
The best IRL option is a Bitcoin meetup. Look if there's one going on, bring some cash.
Second best option is bisq or robosats (requires you to run LN node).
KYC = Know Your Customer, it's when your personal information (certified with some kind of ID) are required in order to make a transaction (ie: buying bitcoin).
