There is nothing shameful in not wanting to be tracked, there's nothing shameful in wanting privacy, including transactional privacy, and anyone who says otherwise is most likely even less squeaky clean than what they're trying to make you appear to be.
Privacy used to be the norm for most of human existence in this planet, the anti privacy stance you see today is nothing new tho.
Tyrants have controlled people by controlling their privacy for ages, the big difference is only that today they have much better tools for that than ever before.
