#dailypoll : Pluto has been designated too small of a planet to be considered a planet! When the discovery of many many other planets became possible, the science community had to put strict criteria on the sizes of objects revolving around other stars to filter out what is worthy of "planet" status... unfortunately Pluto didn't meet that standard and is no longer a planet! It's really just inside the asteroid belt and there are many same sized or maybe bigger objects out in that part of the system!

Nice to hear from someone knowledgeable. Thank you for the run down. Do you think any of the larger things in that system will take the place of Pluto or did it originally get named as a planet due to its lineage path between the sun and earth?
