Interval training and cardio isn't to lose weight, it's to condition your cardiovascular system so that fatigue doesn't set in as quickly.

You can be strong as a bull but still useless. Don't believe me? Go run a mile. Rest less between sets.

Conditioning feeds into strength training to produce overall athleticim.

Yeah I get it. I haven't ran a mile in a few months. I do a lot of BJJ though, and never sit out a round when sparring.

I used to run like 6 to 10 miles twice a week or more. Had to give that up, can only do much without overtraining. Especially with my lifts being heavy.
