Pissed off. One speaker of my 18-month-old Google Pixel just broke this morning. My four-year-old iPhone 12 mini works just as well as it did on the first day. GM.

GM. My 28 year old Nokia still breaks the ground.

Insane.

Always will.

Stuff like this happens with electronics.

After a couple of hours it began to work suddenly.

Weird, I would try to swap it out if you are still covered under warranty

probably can have the part replaced at a workshop too

I bought it under a false name back then (and paid in cash of course and took advantage of the fact that everyone was wearing masks :D). Wouldn’t really like to get in touch with the store where I bought it. I would look for small repair shop or something like that, but the speaker works now :)

Understandable

They make good products so they can continue harvesting your info for as long as possible

I would prefer good products without my data being harvested. Anyway, will still stick to my de-googled Android. Having control over my data and knowing what my phone does is worth it. Btw, the speaker began to work after a couple of hours :D

Build quality on the pixel's has been great IME

i still have a 4 that works fine

Probably it was a tiny amount of water that found its way into the lower speaker. Everything works fine again.
