Officially, it’s known as Australia Day. But some prefer to call it “Invasion Day”.

In recent years, some Indigenous people and their supporters have flown the Aboriginal flag at half-mast and worn black clothing on Australia Day to mourn their ancestors. Their actions reflect a call by many to change the date of Australia Day or abolish the celebrations.

Sadly we cannot change the past, but we can move forward together 🫂
