How about some, hyperbole, deflections, and platitudes?

I don't mean to argue the usefulness of spam filters or invent more changes Core might make. People with far more understanding and expertise have debated those things for months, and my opinion would only be based on theirs.

I just don't understand removing the setting when there's so much disagreement.

the setting has zero effect, it is not consensus code. Even if 99.999% of people ran knots, knots would still relay the transactions via blocks.

it's about what settings miner use what ends up in blocks.

the filters will most likely only cause delaying of transactions not stopping them.

most miners run core so whatever core does becomes common miner policy.

a central point of control in bitcoin has emerged, and it is being exploited for now, until we really see what the damage is.

This question is irrelevant because they don’t need to fork to exploit

It all comes down to choice

Core wants to decide and enforce user settings.

If it’s not a big deal Core should restore the user settings and there would be no drama. Core is Knots biggest mascot

I'm tired boss.

Well that's compelling.

they can’t answer specific questions because they are ideologically motivated, not technically or well reasoned.
