Palmer Luckey JRE episode was one of the most interesting ones I've watched in a long time.

His hive mind AR military helmet is actually insane: if someone else on the battlefield sees something it will render it in everyone else's view.

It even has phased array noise cancellation and amplification, meaning you can focus on somewhere on the battlefield and it will amplify the sounds coming from there and cancel everything else.

he is living the dream building james-bond style gadgets all day. so cool.

Thanks, will take a listen.

We will all live to see this tech used against Americans.

American and western military tech in general is suffering from convoluted solutions that sound good on paper but perform badly on the battlefield. On a modern frontline they're at a point where they can't fly wireless drones because the ether is saturated with all sorts of EW and he is expecting to get away with data heavy intercoms for infantry in close combat? How big is the battery for these devices and how are they getting changed?

Unless they plan to deploy this in "high intensity police operations" abroad and at home a capable procurement officer will have a difficult time approving this stuff.

Listening to it now

Palmer is great

He comes across as a total psychopath and for money he would do anything.

Well he did say in one interview he was a radical.
