Question for parents out there. How much do you agree with this statement.

"You should let kids just be kids for as long as possible."

Presented without further context on purpose. Would love to hear 1) how you take that and 2) whether you agree

Given the context I would vote modestly agree. Everything is context specific, but feels like a half decent general principle
