Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez have inaugurated India's first private military aircraft plant in Gujarat state. The Tata Aircraft Complex will produce Airbus C-295 transport military aircraft in collaboration with Airbus Spain. This deal marks a significant milestone for India's defence and aerospace industries, with the Indian government agreeing to purchase 56 aircraft. The plant is expected to complete the first "Made in India" C-295 aircraft in 2026.
