I was wondering too...

partially it's a rigidity problem you have a less smooth ride and you end up getting a cracked wheel more often than not. So you're replacing an entire wheel versus just the tire part. At least thats been my Experience with airless tires on a bike.

I think its because the tread wear and life suffers so although no air in them, the tread suffers as the tradeoff.

Probably because tge company making them will only hqve you buying 1 time. Hahaha think about it. If i dont need tires for years or get flats a lot of tire companies will be gonnneeeeeeee.. maybe thats why they are not pushed as much.
