They had to change the name of the sequel because Hasbro had the rights to the board game Hero Quest 😄. I loved both this game and the board game.

Also, it was epic to be able to transfer characters from this one all the way through the games that followed it!

Yes the sequel was great too! Every now and again I still revisit the first game. So fun.

I played it a few years ago and thought it was hilarious to change the speed setting all the way up and the character would just instantly fly across the screens 😄. No throttling back then because the computers couldn't go that fast 😆.

I first played on our 386

I do the same thing lol. It's fun to zip across the screen at impossible speeds. I first played it on my 486. My 286 was a CGA monitor and while Hero's Quest supported CGA the machine was too slow to play it well.
