I think when you slice thin aluminum very small flakes come off

Can’t really even see it most of the time

Maybe I’m just weird but it’s always been a concern I have

Even using can openers for food containers I freak out about trying not to get metal in the food .

It’s probably nothing to worry about

Just bothers me thinking about the metal being cut and stuff contaminating

Like if you looked at it under magnification while cutting even tho it’s just slicing thin metal under magnification I think you’d see metal shavings from the cutting operation….

Probably not.

You can press the can opener in pretty slow.

This would prevent/ greatly reduce any microscopic metal partials as there isn't a "burst" of metal breaking when you press the can opener in.
