Does anyone else get far too invested in politics?

No matter what side you’re on, it’s just so draining. So many variables that we literally cannot control, yet most of us are guilty for investing ourselves emotionally.

Sure it’s good to see some things from time to time, knowing what’s going on while not being fully invested, but I cannot seem to find this balance for the life of me.

I think it's designed to drain energy from people. It's best to mind your own business. Politics influence day to day affairs, but there's absolutely no reason to be under its spell. Since I've stopped following the news, my life got a lot better. I view it now only for comedy purposes.

Word. Yeah it’s just so easy to go all in, join a team, stand by their actions & fall into bias as well.

If you take a step back it’s not only easier to recognize this and have a clear lens but you get to eventually reclaim the energy you gave to this thankless cause.

When it comes to your life, is it even worth it to give energy to anything that you cannot physically control in the present moment?

More and more I see energy and attention as a currency and way too many people are draining their energy reserves on this sorta thing. I guess you have to go through it to really recognize it though
