I'd argue that sometimes the education makes them an idiot. I've seen too many smart people go to college and come home an idiot who can do nothing but parrot authority.

At this point, if you need a Bachelors to get a foot in the door, go to an online university. Pay a fraction of the cost, with less indoctrination.
I'm planning applying to an Online History Masters & Online MBA just so I can teach those subjects or get a foot in the door for Management positions.
