I am a new convert to UV-cured glues!

Headlight cover on my (very old) Mercedes came off, revealing the previous owner had glued it together with a polyurethane foam at some point, but it hadn't bonded well to the cover. Like, at all. Cover must have been basically sitting there, held by dust and ennui. Lucky I rarely drive it.

Looked up the cost of a new unit, and quickly closed the tabs in horror. The downside of owning an old Mercedes is the cost of parts!

But ten dollars and a visit to temu dot com marketplace got me a bottle of mysterious Chinese UV-cure resin. Scuffed the headlight cover edges with sandpaper first. Dead-simple to apply the resin (did it near dusk to avoid UV). Taped it on, waited for the sun to come up.

Its bonded now so strongly I can shake the car with it!
